Advisory Group Inaugural Meeting

South Brent Parish Council declared a climate and ecological emergency in May 2019 and adopted a detailed written policy in November 2019 whilst agreeing to form a South Brent Parish Council Advisory Group to support their declaration.
What is a Climate Emergency Advisory Group and what will members be doing?
Please join Councillors, organisations, groups and partners for the evening to find out what a Climate Emergency declaration is and what Towns and Parish councils and communities in Devon are doing to support their Climate Emergency declarations and action plans including what that could mean for our community of South Brent.
Formation of a new Advisory Group to Parish Council
During the evening an Advisory group will be officially formed, and a Chair selected with a first task to develop a delivery strategy to support South Brent Parish Council delivering their declaration resulting in writing and monitoring a South Brent Climate and Emergency Action Plan for 2020 to 2030 for the parish council and community.
Key local organisations, groups and speakers have been invited to the evening and to join the Advisory Group however if you are a resident with project skills, related experience or between 10 and 18 years old and interested in joining the South Brent Parish Council Climate and Ecological Advisory Group (SBPC CEEAG) please contact:

There will be opportunities to attend further informative and consultation public events, for residents, organised as part of forming the action plan for the Parish.
